We encourage you to bring with you all the medical records pertaining to your visit when you arrive. When you check in, a medical assistant goes through specific questions and checks your vitals. The Doctor then spends time with you taking your history, examining, and making a plan, and discussing the details of the treatment plan with you. She takes your all questions and answers them. Usually, slides are used if you prefer that. The doctor also draws pictures if you’d rather have a pictorial representation of the discussion. You are welcome to take notes as well. If you decide to make another appointment for a follow-up, you are welcome to make one. If you prefer for the physician to contact your referring physician, she is happy to do so. Kindly note your preference before you leave the appointment. We will usually try to print out the consult letter for your review at the time of the visit. If not possible, one will be mailed to you shortly. The Doctor will provide you a written note on your diagnosis and treatment plan when you leave the office after the visit. You will also usually be given some printed information about your condition or your management plan.
